METLEN Strengthens European Defence Presence at Eurosatory 2026
ETLEN reinforced its position within the European defence industry during Eurosatory 2026 in Paris through a joint presentation with KNDS of the VBCI PHILOCTETES®, the latest-generation French 8×8 Infantry Fighting Vehicle.
The high-level event, held at the KNDS stand, was attended by senior representatives of the French Armed Forces, international media, and key stakeholders from the European defence sector. The presentation highlighted the growing industrial cooperation between Greece and France and showcased the capabilities of METLEN’s M Technologies Hub in Volos.
Vassilis Tsiamis, Chief Executive Director of M Technologies, emphasized that Europe’s pursuit of greater security and strategic autonomy requires a strong and resilient defence industrial base. He noted that the partnership with KNDS is built on a long-standing relationship of trust and reflects a shared vision for the future of European defence.
KNDS France CEO Nicolas Groult described the VBCI PHILOCTETES® programme as an unprecedented industrial partnership between Greece and France. He stated that the project could become the first in a series of land defence systems to be produced at the new M Technologies industrial hub in Volos.
The cooperation follows the exclusive agreement signed in April 2025 between METLEN and KNDS for the production of the VBCI PHILOCTETES®, including the transfer of advanced aluminium armour manufacturing know-how and the development of production and assembly capabilities in Greece.
With more than 25 years of experience in international defence programmes, METLEN continues to expand its role as a trusted industrial partner within the European defence ecosystem.
