SCYTALYS and PT Dirgantara Indonesia Advance Maritime Surveillance Capabilities through Strategic MoU

SCYTALYS, a member of the EFA GROUP, has entered into a strategic partnership with PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Singapore Airshow 2026. The agreement represents a significant step toward enhancing both companies’ footprints in the Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) sector, particularly within the fast-growing Asia-Pacific market.

At the core of the collaboration is the integration of SCYTALYS’ Mission Integration and Management System Airborne (MIMS Airborne) into PTDI’s N219 and CN235 aircraft platforms. These aircraft, already widely recognised for their versatility and reliability, will see a substantial upgrade in their maritime surveillance and patrol capabilities through the incorporation of advanced mission system architecture.

MIMS Airborne is a modular, open-architecture Command and Control (C2) solution designed to integrate and manage multiple onboard sensors and subsystems in real time. These include radar, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) systems, electronic support and intelligence measures (ESM/ELINT), navigation systems, and tactical as well as strategic communications. By fusing these inputs into a unified Common Operational Picture (COP), the system transforms the N219 and CN235 into fully network-centric C4ISR platforms, significantly enhancing situational awareness, mission effectiveness, and interoperability.

Speaking at the signing, Moh Arif Faisal, PTDI’s Director of Commerce, Technology & Development, emphasised the operational value of the collaboration, noting that the integration of advanced mission systems will expand the capabilities of PTDI’s flagship aircraft and strengthen their competitiveness in special-mission configurations tailored to evolving user requirements.

Dimitris Karantzavelos, President of SCYTALYS, highlighted the strategic importance of the agreement for the company’s international expansion. He underscored that the integration of MIMS Airborne demonstrates SCYTALYS’ technological maturity and its ability to deliver reliable, interoperable, and mission-adaptable solutions. He further noted that the partnership with PTDI opens new avenues for growth in the Asia-Pacific region and reinforces SCYTALYS’ position as a provider of advanced C4ISR systems.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by senior leadership from both organisations, including Dr. Grigoris Koutsogiannis, CEO of EFA GROUP, and Gita Amperiawan, President of PTDI, reflecting the high-level commitment behind the collaboration.
