The XVII International Defence Equipment and Services Exhibition HEMUS 2026 will take place from 3 to 6 June 2026 at the International Fair Plovdiv in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, bringing together defence industry leaders, government representatives, military officials, research institutions and technology innovators from around the world.

Established in 1995, HEMUS has grown into one of the most important defence and security industry events in Southeast Europe. The exhibition provides a strategic platform for presenting the latest developments in defence technologies, equipment and services across the land, air and maritime domains, as well as solutions in cybersecurity, communications, logistics, training and dual-use technologies.

HEMUS 2026 will host international defence manufacturers, national defence industries, government institutions, research organizations and technology providers. Exhibitors will present a wide range of advanced defence systems and solutions, including armoured vehicles, weapons systems, unmanned platforms, communication technologies, security systems and innovative defence equipment.

Another major highlight of HEMUS 2026 will be the demonstration firings, traditionally organized at the Central Artillery Technical Test Range “Zmeyovo” of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria. These live demonstrations offer a unique opportunity to showcase defence equipment and weapons systems in real operational conditions.

The test range is certified for testing and demonstration of a wide range of military systems, including small arms, artillery systems, tank weapons, aviation weapons, anti-aircraft and naval systems, as well as portable anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons and their ammunition. The demonstration firings attract significant interest from official delegations, defence professionals and international visitors, providing them with the opportunity to observe the capabilities and performance of modern defence equipment.

HEMUS 2026 will also include dynamic and static demonstrations of military equipment and technologies, allowing participants to experience the operational capabilities of defence systems presented by defence companies, the Bulgarian Armed Forces and international partners.

In addition to the exhibition and demonstration program, the event will provide numerous networking opportunities, business meetings and official visits, creating an environment for establishing new partnerships and strengthening international cooperation within the defence and security sector.
