    Indra and Rheinmetall continue their successful<\/span>
    <\/span>cooperation for Leopard 2 E Combat System Indra and<\/span>
    <\/span>Rheinmetall Electronics have signed an agreement to<\/span>
    <\/span>propose an upgrade of the Spanish Leopard 2 E Combat<\/span>
    <\/span>System. Incorporating state-of-the- art technologies that<\/span>
    <\/span>are compliant with future C4I solutions in combat<\/span>
    <\/span>platforms to come. Indra and Rheinmetall Electronics<\/span>
    <\/span>jointly produced the Combat System (Fire Control System<\/span>
    <\/span>and C4I system) for all Spanish Leopard 2 E. With this<\/span>
    <\/span>recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) they<\/span>
    <\/span>continue their successful cooperation for the production<\/span>
    <\/span>and service of respective fire control systems and C4I<\/span>
    <\/span>systems.<\/span>
    <\/span>Rheinmetall Electronics was the original equipment<\/span>
    <\/span>manufacturer (OEM) of the Leopard 2 fire control systems<\/span>
    <\/span>and enables flexible fleet management with a unified core<\/span>
    <\/span>system and individual adaptations at the customer’s<\/span>
    <\/span>request.<\/span>
    <\/span>Indra and Rheinmetall jointly offer state-of-the-art<\/span>
    <\/span>solutions that are fully compatible with other Leopard 2<\/span>
    <\/span>versions. Leopard 2 users are thus able to operate a<\/span>
    <\/span>common product base and at the same time exchange<\/span>
    <\/span>innovative individual product improvements over the<\/span>
    <\/span>entire lifetime.<\/span>
    <\/span>Indra and Rheinmetall are leading defense companies in<\/span>
    <\/span>Europe with a focus on innovative land systems. Both<\/span>
    <\/span>companies are also specialists in high-tech mission<\/span>
    <\/span>equipment and C4I solutions for all military needs. Indra<\/span>
    <\/span>contributes expertise in the service and production of the<\/span>
    <\/span>“Combat System Leopard 2”. Indra also offers its own<\/span>
    <\/span>developments of electro-optics, battle management<\/span>
    <\/span>systems (BMS ET and Lince) and mission systems<\/span>
    <\/span>(Maestre) for platforms such as the Leopard 2 E main<\/span>
    <\/span>battle tank, the Pizarro IFV infantry fighting vehicle and<\/span>
    <\/span>the VCR 8×8 wheeled armored vehicle. Rheinmetall<\/span>
    <\/span>produces modern, fully digitalized and customized<\/span>
    <\/span>defense electronics and software. The modular and open<\/span>
    <\/span>architecture includes innovative functions such as:<\/span>
    <\/span>automated operations, seamless integration of weapons<\/span>
    <\/span>and anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM), network<\/span>
    <\/span>integration and manned and unmanned operating modes.<\/span>
    <\/span>Spain and other NATO and EU member states are<\/span>
    <\/span>currently increasing their defence budgets to improve the<\/span>
    <\/span>operational readiness of their combat vehicle fleets.<\/span><\/p>
