The incident occurred following an alert indicating an incoming aerial threat, prompting the activation of the Greek Patriot battery under the Hellenic Air Force air defence unit asssigned in Saudi Arabia folloing a bilateral defence cooperation agreement. Two interceptor missiles were launched, successfully neutralising the incoming threats, which were reportedly aimed at oil refinery facilities in the city of Yanbu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
