{"id":15976,"date":"2026-03-09T12:02:50","date_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:02:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dbdcgroup.com\/?p=15976"},"modified":"2026-03-09T12:03:58","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:03:58","slug":"advanced-greek-communication-systems-for-the-hellenic-navy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dbdcgroup.com\/el\/advanced-greek-communication-systems-for-the-hellenic-navy\/","title":{"rendered":"Advanced Greek Communication Systems for the Hellenic Navy"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>INTRACOM DEFENSE (IDE)<\/strong> announced that on <strong>Thursday, March 5, 2026<\/strong>, a contract was signed with the <strong>General Directorate for Defence Investments and Armaments (GDAEE)<\/strong> for the supply of <strong>advanced communication systems of Greek development and cutting-edge technology<\/strong> to support the operational requirements of the <strong>Hellenic Navy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement concerns the delivery of <strong>secure, high-speed voice and data communication systems<\/strong>, designed to enhance the Navy\u2019s ability to maintain reliable and protected communications across its naval platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the core of the program is <strong>NAUTiCON (Naval Unified Tactical IP Communication Network)<\/strong>, a highly flexible digital communication system developed by IDE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-essential-blocks-advanced-image  root-eb-advanced-image-5hn8z\"><div class=\"eb-parent-wrapper eb-parent-eb-advanced-image-5hn8z\"><figure class=\"eb-advanced-image-wrapper eb-advanced-image-5hn8z no-effect\" data-id=\"eb-advanced-image-5hn8z\"><div class=\"eb-image-wrapper\"><div class=\"eb-image-wrapper-inner eb-img-style-rounded\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dbdcgroup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Nauticon-System.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/div><\/div><\/figure><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>NAUTiCON integrates both <strong>internal and external communications equipment<\/strong> of modern naval platforms into a unified architecture. The system can be configured using a <strong>distributed switching architecture<\/strong>, ensuring increased survivability in operational environments, while also allowing <strong>physical separation between \u201cred\u201d and \u201cblack\u201d information processing<\/strong> to guarantee high levels of security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system has been specifically designed to support the integration of multiple communication technologies. It provides interfaces to a wide range of naval communication and information systems, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>HF\/VHF\/UHF radio equipment<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cryptographic devices<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Modem equipment<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tactical data links<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Public announcement systems<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Telephony networks<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Satellite communications (SATCOM)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Message Handling Systems (MHS)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Shipboard LAN networks<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>NAUTiCON has been developed following a <strong>systems engineering approach<\/strong>, enabling simplified operation, streamlined installation, and a reduced number of <strong>Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)<\/strong>.
