The<br \/>Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the<br \/>required certification notifying Congress of this possible<br \/>sale .<br \/>The Government of Greece has requested to buy<br \/>Aerosonde Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) with<br \/>Lycoming heavy-fuel engines; Global Positioning System<br \/>(GPS) with Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module<br \/>(SAASM); TASE400 Electro Optical (EO)\/Medium Wave<br \/>Infrared (MWIR)\/Long-Range Spotter-High Definition<br \/>(LRS-HD) payloads; avionics; video and telemetry<br \/>datalink subsystems, and secondary payload bays;<br \/>Ground Control Stations; ground data terminals; launch<br \/>and recovery trailers; ground support equipment; \u201cfly as<br \/>you drive\u201d M1117 ASV interface kits and integration;<br \/>initial spares package; initial spares replenishment; new<br \/>equipment training; program management support;<br \/>contractor logistics support and Field Service<br \/>Representative support; technical data and publications;<br \/>quality assurance services; U.S. Government and<br \/>contractor engineering, technical, and logistics support<br \/>services; and other related elements of logistics and<br \/>program support, that will be added to a previously<br \/>implemented case whose value was under the<br \/>congressional notification threshold.<br \/>The original Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case, valued at<br \/>$99.99 million ($0 in MDE), included M1117 wheeled<br \/>Armored Security Vehicles (ASV) (through the Excess<br \/>Defense Article program); MK19 Modification (MOD) 4<br \/>Up-Gunned Weapon Systems (UGWS); Concurrent<br \/>Spare Parts (CSP) packages; spare barrels; U.S.<br \/>Government and contractor vehicle spare parts; vehicle<br \/>Special Tools and Test Equipment (STTE); vehicle Basic<br \/>Issue Items (BII); Simplified Nonstandard Acquisition<br \/>Program (SNAP) spare parts; U.S. Government case<br \/>management and technical assistance; facility-required<br \/>equipment; New Equipment Training (NET); Field<br \/>Service Representative support; Joint Visual Inspection<br \/>with U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments<br \/>Command (TACOM) technical assistance; Packaging,<br \/>Crating, and Handling with follow-on transportation; and<br \/>other related elements of logistics and program support.<br \/>The estimated total cost is $130 million.<br \/>This proposed sale will support the foreign policy and<br \/>national security of the United States by improving the<br \/>security of a NATO Ally that continues to be a force for<br \/>political and economic stability in Europe.<br \/>The proposed sale will improve Greece\u2019s capability to<br \/>deter current and future threats, support coalition<br \/>operations, and increase interoperability with the United<br \/>States. Greece will have no difficulty absorbing this<br \/>equipment into its armed forces.<br \/>The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not<br \/>alter the basic military balance in the region.The principal<br \/>contractor will be Textron Systems, located in Hunt<br \/>Valley, MD. There are no known offset agreements in<br \/>connection with this potential sale. There will be no<br \/>adverse impact on U.S. defense readiness as a result of<br \/>this proposed sale. The description and dollar value are<br \/>for the highest estimated quantity and dollar value based<br \/>on initial requirements.
