Agenda 2030- “Hellenic Armed Forces Digital Transformation”, 7th Athens International Conference, 25–26 November 2026, War Museum, Athens, Greece
DBDC International Defence Publications & Events Ltd is pleased to announce, “Agenda 2030 – Hellenic Armed Forces Digital Transformation”, the 7th Athens International Conference, to be held on 25–26 November 2026, at the War Museum, Athens, Greece.
The conference is aligned with the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence’s “Agenda 2030”, an ambitious and comprehensive restructuring programme for the Hellenic Armed Forces. This initiative focuses on the acquisition of next-generation fighter aircraft, naval fleet modernisation, the strengthening of integrated air and missile defence capabilities, and the enhanced role of the domestic defence industry—particularly in the fields of air defence, autonomous systems, unmanned platforms, and missile technologies.
Greece has activated ten major defence programmes following their approval by the Government Council for National Security (KYSEA) on 23 July 2026, marking another important step in the implementation of the Ministry of National Defence’s “Agenda 2030” and the country’s Long-Term Defence Procurement Programme. Defence Minister Nikos Dendias presented the programmes following the KYSEA meeting chaired by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, stressing that the objective is not simply the acquisition of new platforms and weapons, but the transformation of the Hellenic Armed Forces into an integrated, network-centric force. Central to this transformation is the transition from the traditional C4I concept to what the Minister described as C5 ISRT: Command, Control, Compute, Communicate, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Targeting.
C5 ISRT solutions are particularly critical for complex, integrated military and security architectures that coordinate land, maritime, air, space, and cyber forces, as well as coast guards, civil defence, and crisis management organisations. These systems empower senior commanders to plan, manage, and execute operations effectively under the most demanding conditions, including armed conflict, natural disasters, and large-scale emergencies. Autonomous land-sea-air platforms equipped with advanced C5 ISRT capabilities provide decisive operational advantages by improving situational awareness, enhancing understanding of the operational environment and adversary, and significantly reducing the time between detection and response.
The international defence industry today offers a wide spectrum of land, naval, and air platforms equipped with state-of-the-art C5 ISRT systems. These range from incremental modernization programs to the integration of cutting-edge technologies enabling secure, real-time data exchange across platforms and services. This evolution forms part of a broader, holistic approach to modern warfare under the framework of Joint All-Domain Operations (JADO).
The conference will bring together international manufacturers of advanced weapon systems and platforms, C5 ISRT solution providers, systems developers, and defence industry executives, alongside senior representatives from the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence, the Joint, Army, Navy, and Air Force General Staffs, foreign military delegations, and defence attachés. Participants will exchange views on emerging strategies and capabilities in mobility, command and control, communications, cyber defence, unmanned systems, sensors, networks, geospatial intelligence, and the protection of complex, network-centric operational environments against evolving digital threats.
