German naval systems manufacturer thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) and Israeli defence technology company Elbit Systems have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a strategic framework for cooperation in the development, integration and commercialization of advanced naval defence solutions.

The agreement seeks to combine the technological, operational and industrial expertise of both companies to address current and future maritime security challenges. Under the framework, TKMS and Elbit Systems will explore opportunities for joint development programmes and the integration of advanced technologies into next-generation naval platforms and defence systems.

According to the companies, the partnership extends beyond industrial cooperation and reflects the broader strategic relationship between Germany and Israel, based on shared values, mutual trust and a common commitment to security and stability. The collaboration is intended to strengthen long-term bilateral defence relations while contributing to wider international defence cooperation efforts.
