EUROSATORY 2026: A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE AND A GLIMPSE INTO THE FUTURE OF DEFENCE

DBDC International Defence Publications & Events Ltd. was honoured to participate in EUROSATORY 2026 as both an exhibitor and an official Media Partner, providing extensive coverage of the exhibition through its international defence publications and digital media platforms.

EUROSATORY 2026 once again confirmed its position as one of the world’s leading defence and security exhibitions. The scale of participation, the technological sophistication of the systems on display, and the quality of discussions among industry leaders, military officials and government representatives made this year’s event a truly unique experience

The ongoing war in Ukraine, together with the growing tensions in the Middle East, has significantly accelerated defence innovation. This was particularly evident in the unprecedented development of unmanned systems, loitering munitions, autonomous platforms, artificial intelligence applications and counter-drone technologies. Virtually every major defence manufacturer presented new solutions aimed at addressing the evolving challenges of modern warfare.

One of the most striking observations was the rapid pace at which defence industries across Europe and North America are adapting to new operational requirements. The exhibition demonstrated that future battlefields will increasingly rely on networked systems, autonomous platforms, advanced sensors and integrated command-and-control solutions.

As a Cyprus-based company, DBDC was particularly pleased to witness the strong presence of the Cypriot defence industry. We had the privilege of attending the official inauguration of the Cyprus Pavilion in the presence of the Minister of Defence of Cyprus, Mr. Vasilis Palmas, and Dr. Panagiotis Hadjipavlis Director of Defence of the Directorate of General Procurement and Defence Capabilities Development

Considering the size of the Republic of Cyprus, the progress achieved by its defence industry is truly remarkable. Cypriot companies continue to expand their international footprint, participate in major European programmes and develop innovative solutions that are attracting growing international attention. The effective utilisation of European initiatives, including SAFE and other defence cooperation frameworks, has contributed significantly to this success.

From a Greek perspective, it was encouraging to see several domestic companies successfully representing the country on the international stage. Companies such as ALTUS, EODH, THEONS and SCYTALYS showcased innovative products and demonstrated that Greece possesses highly capable engineering and technological expertise. Their growing export activities and international partnerships highlight the significant potential of the Greek defence sector.

EUROSATORY 2026 clearly demonstrated that European defence is entering a new era characterised by innovation, cooperation and rapid technological evolution. For both Cyprus and Greece, the exhibition provided valuable opportunities to strengthen international partnerships, promote indigenous capabilities and further integrate into the evolving European defence ecosystem.
