BATTLEFIELD ReDEFiNED 2026: Modern Technologies with dual-use potential for Enhancing Security, Defence and Space Resilience 26-27 February 2026 – Pavilion Hall, Nicosia – Cyprus
BATTLEFIELD ReDEFiNED 2026: Modern Technologies with Dual-Use Potential for Enhancing Security, Defence and Space Resilience is a high-level European forum taking place on 26–27 February 2026 at the Pavilion Hall in Nicosia, Cyprus. The event is organised within the framework of the European Network of Defence-related Regions (ENDR), with the participation of DG DEFIS, ENDR member CARIE, and the Cyprus Defence & Space Industry Cluster.
Held under the auspices of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the forum coincides with Cyprus’ assumption of the EU Presidency in the first half of 2026. Located at Europe’s eastern frontier and a historic geopolitical crossroads, Nicosia provides a strategic setting for discussions on Europe’s defence, security, and space resilience.
The event combines a high-level conference with a static exhibition showcasing Cypriot and European manufacturers, creating a unique platform for dialogue between policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, innovators, and operational stakeholders. The forum focuses on the role of dual-use technologies in strengthening Europe’s defence industrial readiness and operational resilience across land, cyber, and space domains.
The programme is structured around six key thematic areas, including defence industrial readiness, future battlefields and force multipliers, digital and electronic capabilities, operations in contested environments, financing Europe’s defence transformation, and the pathway from innovation to deployment. Particular emphasis is placed on interoperability, secure communications, AI-enabled decision-making, unmanned systems, and the integration of civilian and military technologies.
BATTLEFIELD ReDEFiNED 2026 is designed for defence and security professionals, technology innovators, government and EU representatives, academia, SMEs, startups, financial actors, and media, offering a strategic platform to shape the future of European defence and dual-use innovation.
